I have long been an advocate for better powerpoint presentations. I have been singing the praises of Rick Altman and his "Why Most Powerpoint Presentations Suck and How You Can Make Them Even Better" for a while on this blog. The logical next evolution of the powerpoint is to make it more hands on. We are in an iPad, touchscreen, handheld revolution and the powerpoint is still a flat mostly projected image with fixed forward and back directionals. Or so I thought!
Then a friend in London sent me a link to Prezi. Prezi allows you to navigate any direction to the area that the conversation takes you. How many times have you been giving a presentation and the prospect asks a killer question that has you advancing 22 slides forward then stumbling to try to get back to the original offshoot point. Prezi allows that kind of spontaneous navigation to make the presentation customized for the individual audience. Plus it can build on your current powerpoints so you don't loose all that good work you have done but you can rather make the navigation state-less!
Check it out and tell me what you think!
