Here at Savvy, we are giving thanks, sincerely, for all the good things in our lives. Though we may each face hardships of one kind or another, we never fail to find and appreciate the silver lining. At this special time of year, we look forward to spending extra time with family and friends, saying all the kind things we meant to say throughout the year, and savoring the moments that will become treasured memories.

In fact, this year we have so much to be thankful for, both professionally and personally. From new babies to new homes to new clients, we have never found ourselves so busy. So, in the spirit of finishing client work and finding time to spend with our families over the holiday season, we're reducing our blogging schedule through January 2011.

From our families to yours, we wish you a very happy start to the holiday season.

All the best,

This year I have so much to be thankful for it is almost too much to list. As always my husband and my children who fill my life with so much joy and are the daily blessings that make me thankful all year. Friends who keep me grounded, on the right track and remind me that this too shall pass. An extended family both real and borrowed that acts as the Village that is helping me raise my children. And finally a blog and client family who provide me the opportunity to enjoy and thrive in my work without compromising my commitment to the rest of my life.

I am thankful for the health and happiness of my family and the freedom to spend time with them. I am grateful for the generous support of my friends and business associates, for the smiles they bring to my days and the tips, tricks, and insights they share. I feel so lucky to live in a beautiful part of the country where we can enjoy the great outdoors each day. I love that I can do work I love from the comfort of my home, and be here when my daughter gets off the bus. And I'm so glad that we've got the wonderful technology of social media to help us share and connect with friends old and new all over the world.

Sometimes you have to be hit over the head to see how absolutely lucky you are to have what you have. I'm grateful for my family's health, the fact that we can all laugh and share stories together. Thanksgiving is a time when all come home to roost, sons at college return home, kids at home don't have the constant practices to go to and daughters don't need to be driven to friend's houses.

We spend the day spending time with each other - catching up on what so often gets lost in our hectic schedules. We re-connect, we recognize and feel that deep sense that we absolutely belong with each other.

In the end, what is there that is more important than that?

First and foremost, I'm thankful for my good health and the well-being of those of my friends and family fortunate enough to enjoy it. And for friends who are suffering with health issues, I'm thankful for access to some of the best medical care in the country. I value the deepening bonds I share with my Savvy Sisters, and appreciate that they're there for me both professionally and personally. I'm grateful for long-standing and new business relationships, and the opportunity to learn from each engagement. I treasure the fact that I can work from my home office, overlooking a beautiful lake in a neighborhood filled with fabulous neighbors and friends. And I'm so delighted that an amazing spirit just joined our family in the form of Munchkin, the wonder dog.

Whenever Thanksgiving rolls around and I take time to reflect on what I’m most thankful for, the list is long. I’m eternally grateful for my exceptionally supportive husband and my energetic three-year old daughter who constantly keeps me on my toes.  My friends – including my Savvy Sisters –keep me more sane and balanced than they’ll ever know. And, this year, I’m exceptionally grateful for opportunities on a professional level. I absolutely love what I do and have so enjoyed meeting a host of new people who inspire me daily.

I am thankful for the birth of my first child, a healthy baby girl born one week ago today. I am thankful to have a career and such wonderful clients where I can take some time off to spend with her and come back at my own pace. I am very thankful for the love and support of my Savvy Sisters who have been there with all the advice a pregnant lady and new mommy could ever need.

Happy Thanksgiving and happy holidays!

What are you thankful for during this holiday season?
